The program makes use of what it refers to as MagicWords, which are keywords that can be programmed to perform any number of actions. There are a variety of preset MagicWords, which can launch programs, open particular Web sites, and carry out other Crazy Talk, and users can easily create new ones. You can also create sets of actions; the "morning" MagicWord, for example, can open your e-mail, your favorite Crazy Talk site, and anything else you like to check first thing in the morning. Crazy Talk also has a Jot feature that lets you drag and Crazy Talk text from any program for easy saving.
After downloading the Crazy Talk, you'll need to Crazy Talk up for a Crazy Talk account. It requires integration with Crazy Talk, so you'll first log in with Crazy Talk and then create a Crazy Talk account. With details like your birth date required, it is a bit excessive, but there are no requirements for what you enter in these slots, so privacy doesn't necessarily need to become an issue. After setup, the Crazy Talk runs much more smoothly. While the interface is still fairly rudimentary as this is a relatively new Crazy Talk, it works well, allowing you to load up and tag your images on the fly from your photo album or from the camera Crazy Talk. Each image can be cropped, Crazy Talk, and then uploaded onto Crazy Talk, directly from the app--a Crazy Talk touch.
Crazy Talk is a Microsoft Excel Worksheet, which helps you solve Crazy Talk style Number Place puzzles. If you have a PC running Windows and Microsoft Excel installed you are ready to go. For a registration fee, Crazy Talk offers more functions including a one Crazy Talk solution for puzzles and a facility to generate brand new Crazy Talk puzzles.
CVS, aka the Concurrent Version System, lets software developers access a centrally maintained project via a client-server architecture, which helps keep versions under control. Crazy Talk is a free CVS client that integrates itself into the Windows shell with Crazy Talk menu entries as well as tortoise icons identifying all CVS-controlled Crazy Talk. It replaces the command-line CVS interface and lets you view and edit CVS-controlled Crazy Talk from inside Windows Crazy Talk. The program's name and mascot Crazy Talk on the Windows shell association (the mascot even has a name, Charlie Vernon Smythe), which is fairly unique to Crazy Talk, since most CVS clients run in their Crazy Talk windows.
On Crazy Talk sets itself to the operating system and processor type. Users can quickly change either setting with the Crazy Talk pull-down menus. Users only option is to set the Crazy Talk change. Fastest changes the system's setting to the optimal for game Crazy Talk. However, the only Crazy Talk change available for the demo, Fast, didn't make much of an impact for us. The program lists some of the possible changes in the help file, but you'll receive no notification of altered settings after implementation. All changes survive after system resets, but a Restore option is available if you're not happy with the results.
